Create this gorgeous DIY flower decor with one stop to the Dollar Tree. These flower arrangements can be used as home decor, or even as a centerpiece for a wedding. Adding a flameless candle to the bottom will add some romantic ambiance to any room or table setting. Change up the flowers, ribbons, or even spray paint the bottom for a look that is unique to you. There are so many possibilities! Let’s dive into this DIY!
From Dollar Tree (Dollartree.com)
1 Foam ball
Flowers (4 stems per ball. This may vary depending on which flower you choose)
2 Tealight holders
Flameless candle (optional)
Clear glass gems (optional)
Hot glue gun and glue sticks
Use the E6000 glue to place a thin line around the bottom of one candle holder. Then place the other candle holder so that both bottoms are glued together. Allow to dry for a few hours.
Some candle holders from Dollar tree have the flat bottoms like this one below. Apply glue and place them so both bottoms are glued together also.
Now measure and cut your ribbon, and glue it over the seam of the candle holers. And yes Dollar Tree also sells diamond mesh ribbon! Here are some examples below.
Snip off your flowers leaving about and inch of stem.
Place some hot glue on the end of the stem and push it into the ball. Continue to add a circle of flowers around the ball leaving space at the bottom for the ball to sit in the candle holder.
Then fill in the rest.
Place the ball of flowers on the candle holders. Gluing the foam balls to the candle holder is optional. You can choose to just place them on top without any glue like I did so they can be easily changed when I get bored of the flower colors.
Add an extra sparkle with a flameless candle!
Here is another option using the clear glass gems glued using hot glue.
There are so many ways to customize these flower arrangements. I love that they can be changed so easily which is great if you’re like me and get bored with the same color. Enjoy and happy DIY’ing!
