If you’re anything like me you have a bunch of nail polishes that are cluttered and unused. This DIY spinning nail polish display will fix all that clutter and motivate you to keep those nails looking top notch! This DIY project is made using all Dollar Tree products and can even be used to display your foundations, perfumes, or even lipsticks. Let’s dive into this DIY!
From Dollar Tree
-1 candle holder
-Glue gun and Glue sticks
First, you will want to use the compass to trace out three circles. Open the compass to 6 1/2 inches wide, making sure you have enough space to go around, then trace the circle. This bottom circle will measure 13 inches across.
For the next circle, set the compass to 4 3/4 inches wide, then trace the circle. This middle circle will be 9 1/2 inches across.
For the top circle open the compass to 3 inches wide, trace the circle. This circle will be 6 inches across.
Cut out all 3 circles. You can use scissors, but I find that a thin knife, blade, or exacto knife works best when cutting foam board.
You can begin hot gluing the glass gems around the foam board circles you cut out. These glass gems are so that when you spin the display, the nail polishes wont go flying off!
Next, quickly place hot glue on the perimeter of the cake pan, and press the cake pan into place on the bottom circle.
Next, glue one of the floral foam pieces to the top of the bottom circle. Then hot glue the middle circle on top of this floral foam. I forgot to take a picture of me gluing the middle circle on. But I am sure you get the picture ; )
Now hot glue the 2nd floral foam piece on top of the middle circle. And then lastly hot glue the top circle onto the floral foam.
Fill the 2nd cake pan with marbles and place the display on top. I had extra marbles at home so that is why my pan is full, but one bag of marbles is enough for this project.
I just set my candle holder on top without any glue. This way I can easily change it for a different color, or clean it if it gets dirty. It is up to you if you want to glue it or not. Lastly, Fill your container with nail files, clippers, polish remover, or any other nail tools you have. Done! : )
If you’d like, you can skip the candle holder and fill the top tier with just nail polishes. And remember, this display can be made bigger or smaller to fit foundations, lipsticks, perfumes, or anything else you would like to display.
So that concludes this tutorial. I hope you found it helpful and you try this DIY for yourself! Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to pin and share!
